how does inspire work during the class day?

Most Inspire mentoring programs occur during the school day, one class period a week for a semester. Mentors partner with guidance counselors and teachers to use elective class periods for mentoring.

what makes inspire so effective?

By partnering with teachers and guidance counselors during the school day, Inspire mentors work with the school to achieve student success and address the most relevant topics to their campus. The combination of relevant topics, dialogue and developmental relationships allow students to engage and grow.

inspire events

Each year, Inspire hosts events to empower students and reinforce the topics covered in the mentoring classes. These events include luncheons, field day games, dream board parties and sports activities.

On May 25th, 2021, Inspire premiered its first virtual assembly, “Activate Your Voice” for high school girls. This event was produced to educate about and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote.

Radiant girl social media

After seeing the statistics of teen suicide amongst young women rise, Inspire launched a social media initiative through @RadiantGirlProgram on Instagram to provide positive content, inspiring stories and online mentoring. This initiative hopes to create an encouraging space and another way for students to connect to helpful advice and empowering content.

Inspire School Programs

inspire your school

Inspire partners with communities/businesses/churches to help local schools meet the needs of students. Inspire facilitates donations and services for students while working closely with school administrators and guidance counselors.

Often schools recognize students/families needs but must rely on community support to help. Whether it’s new school uniforms for a family that lost everything in a fire, school supplies for foster kids or treats for an academic achievement party, Inspire believes in supporting schools and students in all areas.

what types of projects does inspire do for schools?

For Christmas 2020 and 2021, Inspire provided Christmas gifts, school uniforms, grocery cards and clothes to 125 students. Inspire also provided tablets for foster kids to attend live virtual classes.

Does inspire help schools with academic projects?

Yes! In January 2021, Inspire donated 800 fiction books to Bessie Coleman Middle School for each student to keep as part of a school wide initiative to encourage reading.
